TASTING NOTE Whoa! Fresh fragrance of pineapple, grapefruit, with a hint of citrus and a background of vanilla. The flavors are identical to the fragrance. Her expression is reminiscent of a youthful Chablis. Playful and completely enjoyable!

(2007) HEARTLAND VIOGNIER-PINOT GRIS

TASTING NOTE The nose is bursting with stone fruits. It is much like a woman wearing a summer dress in the middle of March (only applies in Florida). Seasonally balanced. The tannin from the Pinot Gris adds firmness and structure to the palate. I like the zest that is created by the two varietals.

TASTING NOTE I know it’s a little more expensive for this summer’s forecast, but I believe each of us must enjoy a good bottle of wine every week. I’d like to recommend this bottle of white wine for that occasion. First of all the grape really rocks as far as white wine. Secondly, it is fully loaded: Classic, Clean, Crisp, slightly Earthy, Body … The Miner family captures all of this and more in this California Viognier.

TASTING NOTE This Sauvignon Blanc has been raised with TLC. Hand harvested and whole cluster pressed in a small hand cranked stainless steel basket press. Rich and refreshing! Expressive bouquet and flavors of apricot, gooseberry, green apple, and a subtle hint of minerals.

S.A. Prum Essence

(2007) S.A. PRUM ESSENCE

TASTING NOTE This is a family owned vineyard in the heart of Germany’s wine country. The wine is exceptionally crisp and hearty for a Riesling, but it maintains a nice acidity so as to not distract your palate from the Essence of the grape. I’m down with it for this long hot summer we are about to embark on together.

(2008) SPRING SEED WINE

FROM North America

TASTING NOTE This chardonnay is picked six times over a ten day period in order to capture different flavor profiles. That’s intense. Each batch is handled and fermented separately to add complexity to the finished wine. The wine did not go through malolactic fermentation and is not aged in oak in order to retain crisp, natural acidity. Best of all it is made from organic grapes. The wine drinks like a bite from the freshest nectarine.
